Aims

  • To develop curiosity and interest in chemistry,
  • To acquire an appropriate body of knowledge and understanding in chemistry,
  • To acquire an ability to think rationally and critically, and to apply the knowledge of chemistry in making judgments and solving problems,
  • To develop skills in scientific investigations,
  • To recognize the evolutionary and sometimes transitory nature of chemical knowledge,
  • To be acquainted with the language of chemistry and be equipped with the skills in communicating ideas in chemistry related contexts
  • develop an appreciation of chemistry and its applications in daily life,
  • become aware of the social, economic, environmental and technological implication of Chemistry, and show concern for the environment and society.

目標

策略

在香港中學文憑化學科考試中獲取令人滿意的成積

 

將基本主題納入中三級化學,以便學生順利過渡到香港中學文憑課程

實施家課政策,以幫助學生建立良好的學習態度和習慣。

安排補課操練香港中學文憑化學科考試的歷屆試題。

提升學生的能力致其學業成績有所進步

 

安排增潤課給中五或中六成績優異的學生。

鼓勵中五學生積極參與「化學家在線自學獎勵計劃」。

教師專業分享文化逐步形成

科任老師們分享教學方法及資源。老師之間也會交流學生課業批改情況及進行互相觀課。

Targets

Strategies

To obtain a pleasing result in the HKDSE Chemistry Exam

Incorporate fundamental topics into F3 Chemistry so that students can have a smooth transition to HKDSE curriculum.

Implement homework policy to help students to establish good learning attitudes and habits.

Arrange supplementary lessons for drilling of past HKDSE papers.

To boost students’ academic potential

Arrange enrichment program for F5/F6 elite students.

Encourage F5 students to actively participate in the “Chemist online self study scheme”.

To enhance professional sharing among teachers

Panel members share their experiences about the teaching methods and resources. Peer teachers may also carry out exercise book inspections and class observations.

激發學生對化學的興趣

安排跨學科的初中科學問答比賽。

提名中五級成績優異的學生參加香港理工大學舉辦的科學比賽。

安排參觀或講座,以提高他們對化學在日常生活中的應用和理解。

給予學生獎勵,以鼓勵他們進步。

提醒學生對環境保護的關注

安排更多的微型實驗。

討論有關綠色化學的當前議題。

提升學生的責任感

經常提醒學生在進行實驗時必要注意的事項以及在實驗後需要的清潔度和整潔度。

To alert students concern on environmental protection.

Arrange more micro-scale experiments.

 

Discuss current issues about green chemistry.

 

To raise the sense of responsibilities of students

To remind students from time to time the necessary precautions in doing experiments
